EDMONTON – The nine members of former premier Alison Redford’s inner circle are taking home a total of more than $1.3 million in severance.

The figures were released by interim Premier Dave Hancock’s office.

Redford’s chief of staff, Farouk Adatia (fah-ROOK’ ah-DAHT’-ee-ah), leads the way with more than $400,000 in severance, benefits and vacation payout.

Adatia’s annual salary was $316,000.

Redford’s communications boss, Stefan Baranski, will pocket more than $135,000.

Redford’s team was let go after she resigned last week amid growing concerns over perks and travel costs.
