Train & school bus collide in Mississauga

A collision occurred between a train and a school bus in Mississauga on Friday afternoon, but luckily no one was injured, Peel police say.

The incident between the train and the bus, which was transporting children, occurred shortly before 3 p.m. at Queen Street South and Reid Drive. Police didn’t know how many kids were on the bus but there were no injuries and the bus sustained “very minor damage.”

It’s not known how the crash occurred but both CN and the Transportation Safety Board of Canada have dispatched investigators to the scene.

Traffic on Queen in Streetsville remains blocked, and police say they will tweet when the road reopens after the investigation.
