Man accused in Bosma murder facing 2 additional murder charges

Two men who were charged in the murder of Tim Bosma are facing an additional first-degree murder charge, the OPP said in a release.
Mark Smich and Dellen Millard were charged with the death of Laura Babcock on Thursday.
Millard is also now facing a first-degree murder charge in his father Wayne Millard’s death, which was originally believed to have been a suicide.
Millard, 28, and Smich, 26, were already in custody and appeared in court on Wednesday.
Christina Noudga, 21, of Toronto, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder in relation to Bosma’s murder. She will appear in court on Thursday.
Police have said Babcock, 23, was romantically linked to Millard. She was last seen on June 26, 2012, in Toronto’s Queen Street West and Roncesvalles Avenue area around 9 p.m.
Wayne Millard died Nov. 29, 2012, of an apparent suicide, but the case was reopened following his son’s murder charge in Bosma’s death.
Bosma, 32, disappeared on May 6, 2013, after taking two men on a test drive of his pickup truck. His burned remains were later discovered in the Waterloo Region.
Officers have “attended and spoken with the Babcock family,” Toronto police Staff Insp. Greg McLane said in a news conference.
“We’d ask that the victims’ families be afforded privacy during these very, very difficult times.”
Millard’s lawyer, Deepak Paradkar, would not comment on the new charges but said he would “defend the case zealously.”
He had previously dismissed any connection between the three cases as speculation.
