A man who volunteered for over a decade as a sail boat racing coach has been charged with sexual assault as well as other offences.
Halton regional police say they were contacted by four members of the Burlington Sailing and Boating Club who told them they had been sexually assaulted.
Investigators say the male victims all detailed a series of sexual assaults that took place when they were between the ages of 13 to 16 with the incidents taking place in Burlington, Oakville, Nepean and Kingston.
Police say Sean Hewson, 31 of Ancaster, surrendered on Thursday and now faces 16 charges, including sexual assault, sexual interference and sexual exploitation.
The accused also volunteers at the Bronte Harbour Yacht Club in Oakville.
Police believe there may be more victims.
