A 36-year-old Ajax man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 407 on Saturday.
Police say the driver lost control of his car around 8:30 a.m. on the ramp from the eastbound lanes to Highway 404 in Markham.
“At this time, for unknown reasons, the vehicle lost control, hit the right side guide rail and went into the right ditch area,” the OPP’s Ian Michel said. “As a result of this impact, the male driver, (who was) the lone occupant, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.”
The driver’s name has not been released.
The ramp was closed for several hours for the OPP’s investigation.
