The homicide unit has been called in after a sudden death in Brampton.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Melanie Drive, in the Steeles Avenue East and Torbram Road area on Saturday.
Police said the woman was found without vital signs and appeared to have suffered no obvious signs of trauma.
“She was located within a vehicle on the property,” Const. Thomas Ruttan explained. “I don’t know specifically if she was in the building or in the parking lot at the rear of the building.”
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have since deemed her death suspicious.
“At this point we are in an investigation which is suspicious in nature,” said Ruttan. “Homicide Bureau has been brought in to do an investigation.”
There has been no word on how the woman died.
