Video of Malton teen beaten, robbed goes viral

A video of a fist fight between two teens that escalated into a wild brawl has gone viral.
Police have not released a lot of information on the incident but said it took place Tuesday afternoon in the area of Goreway and Morning Star drives in Malton.
Students at Lincoln M. Alexander Secondary School said the teens in the video go to their school and the brawl happened in a wooded area just behind the school.
Police said the video shows one of the teens being beaten and robbed.
“He’s knocked to the ground; he’s kicked; he’s punched; and he’s also robbed of his cellphone and a quantity of cash,” said Const. Lilly Fitzpatrick. “It’s extremely disturbing. My view is that it was an act of cowardice that was perpetrated by cowards.”
Peel police said three males have been taken into custody in connection to the incident.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the attack to come forward.
