A man in his 40s has been pronounced dead at the scene of an industrial accident in Brampton, Peel paramedics say.
The incident occurred at The Gore Road and Castlemore Drive shortly after noon on Tuesday.
Paramedics have not said how the incident occurred.
Brampton mayor Linda Jeffrey issued a statement on Tuesday night regarding the accident.
“I am deeply saddened at the sudden tragic loss of life that resulted from an industrial accident at the construction site at Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library,” Jeffrey said. “On behalf of all residents of the City of Brampton, I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the victim’s family, as well as his friends and coworkers on the job site. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.”
