“Can I get your name for the cup?” asks the Starbucks barista.
“Alanna,” I respond.
The barista stares at me, gives me a quizzical look and then scribbles onto the cup.
A few moments later I get handed my coffee with the name “Elena” written in hardly legible writing.
Close but not quite.
It seems to be an everyday occurrence as people take to social media to post images of their badly butchered names on white cups.
But now, you won’t have to be disappointed any longer.
WhatsmyStarbucksname.com generates what could be written on your cup so you know which one is yours.
All you have to do is type in your name and it will generate the likely new name you’ll receive.
Don’t worry Starbucks, I won’t be offended if you write “Aluha.”
And some names are harder to spell than others.
