IN PHOTOS: Cottage trashed from after-prom party

Knives stuck in walls, smashed beer bottles, kicked-in doors and a toilet seat ripped off its hinges.

That’s just a few of the things the manager of a Wasaga Beach rental cottage says she discovered after an after-prom party was thrown at the home by students from Woodbridge.

“It blew me away when I walked in,” Elizabeth Rossi told CityNews. “Never in a million years did I think anybody would do this to someone who opened their doors (to them.)”

The owners did collect a security deposit from the students, but they say it wasn’t enough to cover the damages sustained to the property.

“We certainly do not expect, whether you’re 17, 16, or you’re 60, to come in here and destroy our places,” Rossi said.

The York District Catholic School Board issued a statement about the incident, saying that it “does not condone the destruction of property,” but the issue did not directly involve Holy Cross Cathlic Academy, the school the students attended.

Take a look at the documented destruction below.
