Suspected drunk driver plows through fence, crashing into building

Two people are in hospital with serious injuries after a suspected drunk driver plowed through a fence in the city’s west end.

The crash happened on Sheppard Avenue West and Weston Road just after 3 a.m.

It appears the vehicle crossed Weston, hit the fence, went down an embankment and crashed into a building.

Police say alcohol was a factor in the crash, and charges are pending.
