Cineplex theatres to host Raptors playoff viewing parties

If you’re looking for a place to celebrate the Toronto Raptors’ playoff run, but you aren’t really into the bar scene, Cineplex has an option for you.
Head down to the movie theatre.
Cineplex Entertainment and the Toronto Raptors announced today that they will host viewing parties at five Cineplex theatres across the GTA for home and away games for the first round of the 2016 NBA playoffs.
Tickets to watch the games live will be $6, with the proceeds being donated to MLSE Foundation, which improves the lives of youth by building facilities, giving to sustainable programs and empowering youth through sports and recreation.
The theatre experience gives visitors a front-row seat and unobstructed view of the game in high definition. There will be prizes and in-theatre giveaways, including a limited-edition Raptors playoff T-shirt at the screening of Game 1.
Here is the list of theatres that will be hosting playoff viewing parties:
- Cineplex Cinemas Scarborough – 300 Borough Drive (Scarborough, ON)
- Cineplex Cinemas Courtney Park – 110 Courtneypark Drive East (Mississauga, ON)
- Cineplex Cinemas Vaughan – 3555 Highway 7 West (Vaughan, ON)
- SilverCity Newmarket Cinemas – 18195 Yonge Street (Newmarket, ON)
- Cineplex Cinemas Winston Churchill – 2081 Winston Park Drive (Oakville, ON)
Tickets go on sale on Thursday, April 14 at 6 p.m. and can be purchased at theatre box offices or at Cineplex.com/Raptors. Tickets are limited to four per person per transaction.
