Crossing guard struck by vehicle in Brampton

A crossing guard in Brampton has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car on Friday.
The woman, believed to be in her 70s, was at the intersection of Fernforest Drive and Peter Robertson Boulevard, near Dixie Road and Bovaird Drive East, around 3:30 p.m. when two vehicles collided.
One of the vehicles then struck the crossing guard.
Peel police say the woman’s injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
The intersection remains closed while police continue to investigate.
