Body found in Mississauga ravine

A body was found in the Credit River ravine in Mississauga on Wednesday morning, Peel police say.

It was discovered near Credit Heights Drive and Rooney Gate in Mississauga around 11 a.m.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages and they are working on identifying the deceased person. However, they do say that the body had been there for an extended period of time.

Police add they don’t believe foul play was involved and there is no danger to public safety at this time.
