Duncan Hines Apple Caramel cake mix recalled due to salmonella risk

The company that makes Duncan Hines Apple Caramel Cake Mix has recalled the product due to the risk of salmonella contamination.

Pinnacle Foods Canada Corp. says the recall affects products sold in Canada with best-before dates of April 7 and 8, June 29, and Sept. 27, 2017. It comes in a 590-gram package with the UPC 6 44209 02223 6.

If you bought the cake mix, you should either throw it out or return it to the store where it was purchased.

No one has reported becoming sick after eating the cake.
