Suspect sought in death of 21-year-old man

Police are searching for one suspect in connection with the city’s seventh homicide of 2017.
Police were called to a shooting on Langford Avenue near Danforth shortly after midnight Sunday, where they found a man in life-threatening condition. He was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Tyrone Tomlinson, 21, of Toronto. Police say he had been visiting a friend in the neighbourhood when the shooting occurred.
According to witnesses, the suspect was seen fleeing eastbound on foot, making his way through several residential homes before jumping a fence. He was wearing dark clothing, a hood and possibly carrying a knapsack-style bag.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting or any other details which led up to the incident. They are asking residents and businesses in the area to check their surveillance camera’s for any images of the suspect or the shooting itself.
