Pedestrian struck near Lawrence and McCowan

Toronto police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck late on Sunday night.
He remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of an SUV hit the man on Danforth Road, just south of Lawrence Avenue and McCowan Road, around 11:30 p.m.
The driver remained on scene.
Police said the man may have been running across the street, and was not in a designated crossing area.
There’s no word yet on any charges.
