3 inmates at Toronto South Detention Centre charged with attempted murder after attack

A near-fatal attack at Toronto South Detention Centre has resulted in three people being charged with attempted murder.
Toronto police say a 35-year-old inmate at the facility was attacked by three other inmates on June 22.
The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Inmates Calvin Michail Nimoh, 23, of Mississauga; Mahad Liban Dahir, 23, of Toronto, and Tyler Almeida, 22, of Caledon, are all facing the following charges.
- Attempt Murder
- Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Aggravated Assault
- Criminal Negligence Cause Bodily Harm
In January, a 22-year-old inmate was charged with second-degree murder after a fatal fight at the detention centre.
