Driver facing charges after woman hit in Brampton

A 57-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was hit by a vehicle in Brampton on Thursday night.
The 23-year-old woman was hit at the intersection of Mississauga Road and Queen Street around 9:30 p.m.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
The driver initially left the scene but returned while police were conducting their investigation.
The Brampton man is facing charges of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failing to remain at the scene.
