2 people rescued from North York house fire

One person has been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a home in North York.

Emergency crews were called to Conacher Drive, in the area of Steeles and Bayview avenues, around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

It’s believed the fire started in the garage of the home.

Firefighters rescued two people from the top floor of the home.

Paramedics assessed both people and one was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

There has been no word on what caused the fire.

Another great job done by Toronto’s Emergency Services. Maybe if the citizens paid their fair share in property taxes, the City could restore Police & Fire Services to Pre-Amalgamation levels. The People of Toronto have NO CLUE about how poorly staffed both services are at the moment.
