14 excited contest winners head to Oakland for Game 4

It was easy to tell who the contest winners were among the early morning fliers at Pearson Airport’s Terminal 1.

Decked out in Raptors gear and chanting the team’s name, the 14 winners of Air Canada’s Fan Flight contest boarded their flight to California.

It was a fan photo that won Andrea from Kitchener her ticket.

“I can’t actually believe it. It’s starting to sink in now that I’m here at the airport but it’s still just unbelievable. I can’t even put it into words,” she told 680 NEWS.

Velda won tickets and decided it would be the perfect birthday gift for her son Matthew.

“It’s a crazy birthday. I’ll be 19 so I can’t drink at that arena … but it’ll be amazing. I can’t describe it,” he said.

But the most epic contest winner was Mel who, at only five-foot-four, was among the thousands in Jurassic Park hoping to catch one of the t-shirts tossed into the crowd.

“All night wasn’t catching anything – I’m short right – so I just raised my hand and it just fell off my hand, hit my face and I saw the red t-shirt,” he recalled.

Inside that red t-shirt was a winning ticket to fly to see Game 4.

Seven-year-old Devon won his tickets while screaming at a Raptors game.

“After the game all the Air Canada people crowded around me and my dad and they told us we won tickets,” he said.

But his mom is the lucky one who will be sitting by his side.

“The teachers at school were like ‘is this real? Did he really win? Is this really happening?'” she recalled.

And it’s no surprise which team these lucky fans think will come out on top – Let’s Go Raptors.

The Toronto Raptors take on the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 on Friday night.
