There was a fatality on the Barrie Line just south of Downsview Park around 3 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
Emergency workers were at the scene and trains were not be able to move through the area for over two hours.
Commuters were warned of “significant delays” throughout the afternoon and were asked to use their GO fares on the TTC between Downsview Park and Union Station.
Barrie GO trains were temporarily running express to Rutherford and then making all stops to Allandale.
The investigation was completed shortly before 6:30 p.m. and GO transit tweeted that some delays are still expected as service returns to normal.
Update: The investigation of the fatality is complete, and we will resume service soon. We continue to expect some delays while we work to get trains back on our regular schedule. The first train to go north and make all station stops will be the 18:35 #GOtrain.
