A motorcyclist is fighting for his life following a two-vehicle crash in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police say a motorcycle was travelling northbound on Winston Churchill Boulevard and an SUV was in the southbound lane attempting to make a left hand turn onto Homelands Drive when the collision occurred just before 9 p.m.

The 24-year-old male driver of the motorcycle was transported to a trauma centre in critical condition.

Five occupants of the SUV were taken to a local hospital to be assessed but police say they suffered no serious injuries in the crash.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash or has dashcam footage to contact them.
