Police investigating animal cruelty claims on farm near Port Perry

Durham police have launched an investigation into animal cruelty allegations after a dead cow was found on a farm near Port Perry.
Officers were called to the scene on Tuesday after reports of animal cruelty at a farm on Regional Road 19 in Scugog.
A local veterinary is attending the farm to check on the health of the animals and an officer from the Animal Welfare Operations Unit will be investigating.
Police say “The health and welfare of these animals are paramount.”
