Toronto police are searching for a man they say is connected to an alleged sexual assault downtown.
Police said a 34-year-old woman was walking in the Church and Maitland streets area on Wednesday at around 1 a.m. and had “a brief interaction” with an unknown man.
The man accompanied the victim into an apartment building in the Church and Alexander streets area, where police said she was then sexually assaulted.
“The man is described as late 20s to early 30s, six-foot-three-inches tall, muscular build, with short braids, slight facial hair and wearing a baseball cap, grey top and black jeans,” police said.
Investigators have released CCTV video of the suspect.
Police are asking anyone with information to contact them or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
