Two men are in custody after a late night assault in the city’s west end escalated into a stabbing.
Police say the suspects were seen beating another man in the area of Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue around 11:30 last night.
One of the men then allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim before both of the suspects fled the scene.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police managed to arrest the two suspects a short time later.
