Presto problems on the TTC have been resolved after three days of commuter headaches.
Early Wednesday morning, the TTC tweeted, “We are currently experiencing technical issues with PRESTO reloading machines credit and debit payments, system-wide.”

However, a short time later Metrolinx spokesperson Anne Marie Aikins tweeted back to the TTC saying, “The issues were resolved yesterday. Reload machines at all TTC stations were tested and retested and are working fine.”

The issue facing riders was that although they were able to tap their Presto card, they couldn’t reload it, which meant they would have to use another form of payment if there is no money left on their card.
The Presto issue on the TTC surfaced around 7:30 p.m. Monday but was then resolved just after 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Aikins said on Tuesday that if people had the Presto app on their Android, they could re-load and it would be immediate. The app on the iPhone could take up to two hours, while reloading online would take up to 24 hours.
Aikins said she hasn’t heard of any issues with machines at GO stations or the York Concourse at Union.
