A woman is in hospital in life-threatening condition after police were called to a disturbance in Brampton.
Officers were called to a residence just before 4:30 at Checkerberry Crescent and Serenity Lane after a neighbour called 9-1-1.
The nature of the woman’s injuries are not clear but police say she sustained blunt force trauma.
The woman’s husband, a 64-year-old man, has been taken into custody and is expected to be charged with attempted murder.
No one else was home at the time and police say they believe this was an isolated incident with no other outstanding suspects.
