Investigation underway after woman’s body found floating in Lake Simcoe

York regional police say a suspicious death investigation is underway after a woman’s body was found floating in Lake Simcoe last weekend.
Police said they were called to the docks near Lake Drive North in Georgina just after 12 p.m. on Saturday.
When they arrived officers located a body floating in the water.
An autopsy determined the deceased person is an unidentified woman. She was five feet one inch tall and dressed for cold weather.
A cause of death has not yet been determined, but police consider the death suspicious and an investigation is underway.
