With the COVID-19 pandemic still affecting daily life, the Ontario government house leader says the legislature will continue to respect public health rules.
While unlike the summer sitting, all 124 MPPs can be in the house at once, but they will have to wear masks.
Paul Calandra says it is unlikely the 72 Tory MPPs would be in the house at once.
Calandra says in the coming weeks the government will be focused on the impacts of COVID-19 on the economy, school reopenings, and the health-care system.
The government is also expected to table a formal report on the state of emergency declared by the province earlier this year in response to the pandemic.
Calandra says they government is also leaving itself leeway in the schedule in case additional legislation needs to be introduced to address the COVID-19 pandemic this fall.
As for the 2020-2021 budget, that will be delivered November 15th.
