Body discovered in Scarborough ravine

Toronto Police are investigating after a body was found in the water of a Scarborough Park Wednesday morning.

Police said they were called to Farlinger Ravine Park near Eglinton Avenue East and Kennedy Road just before 11 A.M. after a passerby discovered a body floating in the water.

The force’s marine unit was called in to recover the body which was found badly decomposed, police said.

Police are still working to identify the victim, and are combing through missing persons cases as a part of their investigation.

The cause of death is not yet known.
