One person is dead and four others have been injured following a shooting in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police say they responded to calls of shots being fired in a plaza at Glen Erin Drive and The Collegeway just before 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.

Upon arriving, one person was pronounced dead at the scene while four other victims were taken to GTA hospitals in various condition. However, police say all four are expected to survive.

Police have not provided the age or gender of the victims or how many suspects they are looking for.

“Right now at this time we have very limited information,” said Const. Danny Marttini while asking for the public’s help with information. “We are canvassing, looking for witnesses, trying to pull video footage to see if it was one shooter, or two, we have yet to confirm that and that is paramount in our investigation.”
