Police identify man killed in shooting near Dixon and Islington

One man is dead and a second is injured after two separate shootings in the Islington and Dixon area. 680 NEWS reporter Carl Hantske has details.

Toronto police have identified a man who died after he was found shot at a plaza in Toronto’s west end early Tuesday morning.

Emergency crews were called to Westown Plaza, at Dixon Road and Islington Avenue, just after midnight for reports of a man shot and laying on the ground.

Life-saving measures were attempted, but the victim was declared dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as Jovahn McKnollys, 22, of Toronto.

It is not yet known if McKnollys (pictured below) was shot at the plaza.

There’s no word on suspects.
