Police in Hamilton say his 27-foot sailboat was found around 2:30 a.m. on Friday near the lift bridge entrance to Hamilton Harbour, just below the Burlington Skyway.
The Canadian Coast Guard and the Canadian Armed Forces search and rescue teams were assisting with the search, but say after 107 hours of combined searching, they are turning over the search to police as a missing persons case.
After 107 hours of combined searching since Thursday, JRCC Trenton has made the difficult decision to hand over the search for a person whose boat was found aground near Burlington canal, Friday, to police as a missing person case. Our thoughts are with family and friends
