A man is dead and another is injured following an early morning shooting in North York.
Police were called to a low-rise office building in an industrial area on Bakersfield Street, near Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue, shortly before 3:30 a.m.
A victim was found at the scene suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot and was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Nikie Timm, 37, of Toronto.
A second victim believed to be connected to the same incident made their own way to hospital with non life-threatening injuries and was not at the scene when police arrived.
Det. Rob Choe tells CityNews that it appears a private party was being held at the building with a number of people in attendance, including the two victims.
Two suspects were last seen driving southbound on Bakersfield Street in a dark coloured vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
