Toronto police have identified multiple victims from separate shootings in the city this weekend as they plea to the public for help in the search for suspects.

Officers were first notified of a shooting shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Weston Road and Highway 401 area.

They arrived on scene and located a 24-year-old man who had been shot in his vehicle. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

He has been identified as Mathio Youkhanna of Toronto.

Police are appealing to anyone that witnessed the shooting or was in the area at the time and have video surveillance or dashcam footage to contact them.

In a separate incident, police received reports that a taxi cab driver had crashed into a fence on Sunday, just before 9 p.m., in the Pharmacy and Eglinton Avenue East area in Scarborough.

When officers arrived, the man was unconscious and alone in the vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital via emergency run but was later pronounced dead.

That victim was identified as 73-year-old Christopher Jung of Toronto.

Police say a man wearing dark clothing was seen running away from the area.

Anyone with dashcam footage or video surveillance is asked to contact investigators.
