Pumpkin parades return to Toronto: Here’s where events are being held across the city

As part of the continued gradual easing of COVID-19 restrictions, an annual post-Halloween tradition has returned to Toronto: Pumpkin parades.

In 2020, many events were preempted due to pandemic public health-related concerns. However, there are more than three dozen pumpkin parades scheduled to be held across the city on Monday.

The events, which see people bring their lit-up, carved-out pumpkins to local parks before being thrown out, steadily grew in popularity in Toronto over the past decade-and-a-half.

If you’re looking to give your pumpkin a final sendoff, there’s good news in terms of the forecast. Depending on when you want to go, the temperature is forecast to be between 7 and 9 C late in the afternoon and early in the evening. There’s also a low chance of precipitation.
