1 dead after being struck by vehicle on Hwy. 401 near Milton

One person is dead after they were struck by a vehicle on Highway 401, west of Milton, on Tuesday morning.
Police say the victim was involved in a two-vehicle collision in the westbound lanes near Highway 6 around 4 a.m.
The victim then got out of their vehicle to inspect the damage and was struck and killed by a third vehicle.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The westbound 401 was closed between Highway 6 South and Highway 6 North for several hours, but reopened fully around 9 a.m.
