Man facing over 100 charges in online child luring investigation

A Toronto man is facing over 100 charges as part of an ongoing child luring and exploitation investigation.
On Oct. 27, Toronto police executed a search warrant in the Lawrence Avenue East and Midland Avenue area in Scarborough, where it’s alleged a man was found using various online profiles with usernames related to those of famous child social media celebrities.
Police say the social media accounts were used to lure children into sending him sexually exploitative photos and videos. Just under a month later, on Nov. 25, investigators arrested 35-year-old Jose Paolo Caoitan of Toronto.
He faces as many as 138 offences, including 43 counts of luring a child and 25 counts of child pornography.
