OPP investigating after pedestrian struck by vehicle on Highway 427

OPP are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 427 on Thursday.

The collision took place in the southbound lanes of the highway, just south of Rexdale Boulevard and Derry Road, shortly before noon.

Peel Paramedics transported the victim to hospital in life-threatening condition.

Police are trying to determine why the pedestrian was on the highway.
