Toronto police have charged a second teenage boy after a TTC bus driver was assaulted and stabbed while on the job earlier this month.

Police say on Wednesday a 15-year-old was charged with assault in connection to the Feb. 16 incident in the Keele Street and Gulliver Road area.

In a release, police said a group of young men boarded the bus and became involved in an argument with the driver, reportedly over a fare dispute.

Police say the group attacked the driver, who was stabbed during the altercation.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, but he’s expected to make a full recovery.

A day after the incident police charged a 14-year-old boy with aggravated assault.

The incident came a week after another TTC employee was stabbed onboard a Line 2 subway train.

Officers said they were called to Dupont Station on the morning of Feb. 9 after the 46-year-old victim was stabbed twice in the back after he was involved in some sort of altercation.

A 30-year-old man was charged with multiple offences in connection with the incident.
