Suspect arrested after stabbing at Yorkdale subway station

Toronto police have one person in custody after a stabbing at Yorkdale subway station.

Police were called to the TTC station around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

Police said there was an altercation between the suspect and a group of people, when the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed one person.

Paramedics said two women were taken to hospital, one with serious but not life-threatening injuries and the other with minor injuries.

Trains were not stopping at the station but service has since resumed.

No further details have been released at this time.
