Two teens arrested, 2 men injured after stabbing at Scarborough Town Centre

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after three people were stabbed at Scarborough Town Centre yesterday. It's not clear why they were assaulted. The victims were taking to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Two Toronto teens are in police custody after a stabbing at Scarborough Town Centre on Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a call around 6:30 p.m. for a stabbing inside the mall.

Toronto police Constable Alex Li says there was a fight between two groups, and when police arrived, they found two men suffering from stab wounds.

The two victims, a 19-year-old man and 20-year-old man, were transported to hospital in serious condition. Paramedics told CityNews their injuries are non-life threatening.

Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy. They are both facing multiple charges including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The two are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.

Police believe this is an isolated incident, and Li says there are multiple scenes inside the mall and a knife was recovered at the scene.

The relationship between the two involved groups is unknown at this point.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing or caught the incident on camera, to contact officers or Crime Stoppers.
