Man arrested, charged with assault after spitting on bus driver, riders in Mississauga

Peel police have arrested a 25-year-old man after he allegedly spat on several people on a bus in Mississauga two weeks ago.

The incident happened on May 11 around 3:30 p.m. when the man was trying to board a Brampton Transit bus in the Rathburn Road West and Duke of York Boulevard area, near Square One mall.

Police say the suspect became “irate” and was asked to leave the bus. It is alleged he then spat on the bus driver and the spit landed on other riders who were nearby.

Police arrested Di’Shon Campbell on Saturday and charged him with assault.

Campbell will appear in court in Brampton at a later date.
