Male pistol-whipped during attempted carjacking in Pickering

A male is suffering from head injuries after he was pistol-whipped during one of two attempted carjackings in Pickering on Wednesday night.
In the first incident, police allege a female was sitting in her vehicle near Sheppard Avenue and Whites Road around 10:40 p.m. when a male suspect knocked on the window.
The suspect demanded she roll down her window and the female refused. When he lifted up his shirt to brandish a weapon she fled in her vehicle.

The second incident occurred about five kilometres away, in the area of Kingston Road and Brock Road, around 11:15 p.m.
Police say a man was approached by a male suspect when he was exiting his vehicle. The suspect displayed a firearm and demanded the keys to the vehicle.
When the victim refused it is alleged he was pistol-whipped in the head. The victim then punched the suspect in the face and both males fled the area.
The victim suffered head injuries as a result of the attack.
Police are looking for a male in his 20s with dark skin, between five-foot-eight and five-foot-11, with a thin build and all black clothing.
