Police arrest drunk driver in stolen BMW in Mississauga

An impaired driver is under arrest after they were stopped in a stolen car in Mississauga early Wednesday morning.
Peel police responded shortly after midnight after drivers reported a blue BMW with no lights on driving erratically in the southbound lanes of Erin Mills Parkway near Highway 403.
The responding officers were able to block the suspect vehicle in the area and apprehend the driver.
The 32-year-old driver is facing several charges including impaired driving and theft of a motor vehicle.
Police say the BMW had been stolen in Brampton on Tuesday.
Police tell CityNews they credit the public for reporting the impaired driver and say it’s fortunate no one was hurt or killed.
