Two teens charged with attempted murder following daylight shooting in Mississauga

Two teenage boys have been charged with attempted murder following a brazen daylight shooting in Mississauga two months ago.

Peel police were investigating after a young male team was critically injured in a shooting on April 5.

Officers were called to a housing complex in the area of Britannia Road and Creditview Road after getting reports of gunshots. When they arrived they found a 16-year-old male suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to hospital in critical condition. Police say his condition has since improved and he is now stable.

It remains unclear if the incident was a targeted shooting.

Police arrested two teenage boys from Mississauga on Friday. Both a 14-year-old and 15-year-old face multiple charges, including attempted murder.

Due to their age, the names of the suspects cannot be released.
