Impaired driving charges laid in 1 of 2 separate fatal collisions

A 29-year-old Brampton man is facing impaired driving charges after one person was killed and members of another family were hospitalized following an early morning crash.
Peel Regional Police say they were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the area of Creditview Road and Wanless Drive around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a family was in one vehicle and a baby, along with her mother, were transported to a local hospital. The father and child are fine while the mother was in stable condition.
A 29-year-old passenger in the other vehicle was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have charged 29-year-old Supinder Singh of Brampton with impaired driving causing death and three counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm.

Police are also investigating a separate crash that occurred Saturday night in Mississauga that also left one person dead.
That two-vehicle crash occurred in the area of Derry Road and Ninth Line around 10:30 p.m.
A 20-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were taken to a nearby trauma centre, where the man was later pronounced dead. The woman was listed in life-threatening condition.
A man in his 40s in the second vehicle was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is unknown.
