37-year-old man dead after motorcycle strikes pole in Scarborough

A motorcyclist is dead following a single-vehicle early morning crash in Scarborough on Sunday.
Police say the collision occurred around 1:40 a.m. at Brimley Road and Waterfield Drive, south of Ellesmere Road, when a motorcycle struck a light pole.
The 37-year-old male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
There is no word yet on the cause of the crash.
Brimley was closed in both directions for the investigation but has since reopened.
