1 dead, 1 injured after early morning shooting at cafe in Weston

Police are searching for suspects after a fatal shooting in Weston on Tuesday morning.

Police say the shooting occurred at a social club near the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and Weston Road, just before 3:30 a.m.

A 27-year-old man died at the scene. He’s been identified as Gidid Mohamed, of Toronto. (pictured below)

A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

No suspect descriptions have been released.

The victim has been identified as Gidid Mohamed, 27, of Toronto.
